The Salvage Revolution is a collection of handmade apparel and home furnishings utilizing vintage textiles and other salvaged components. A reclaimed, upcycled, repurposed consciousness defines this Bohemian chic lifestyle. The look is interpreted in a collage of oversized motifs and traditional patterns inspired by globally diverse cultures and celebrates the poetry, grace, and wisdom of collecting vintage pieces.
Created by Dallas area artisans, the “vintage integrity” of each piece is not limited to the age of the materials. Many of the garment patterns are drafted from vintage clothing dating as early as the 1950’s, bringing a fresh outlook to classic silhouettes when reinvented with non-traditional raw materials. Likewise, some home items are restyled using motifs and themes from earlier eras applied to 20th Century frames.
The Salvage Revolution mission extends beyond our commercial enterprises. We also endeavor to expose other artisans who are inspired by an evolving and redesigned aesthetic. In our imaginations, it is a dialog shared by anyone with a collection that developed because “I could make something with that”.
